Ellis Components is the European agent for Powder Technology Incorporated (PTI).

PTI have many years experience in dry powder processing and analysis and through 'that experience they have developed a range of test contaminants for use in the automobile, aerospace and other industries.

The primary use for PTI test contaminants is in the performance testing of filtration systems and components but also other uses such as abrasion resistance testing, oil seal and dust seal effectiveness testing and dust contamination effect testing.

Products available:-

Arizona Test Dust Contaminants ISO 12103-1 Ultrafine, Fine, Medium and Coarse Grades. Specific Fractions - such as 0-3, 0-5, 0-10 micrometres etc., and 5-10, 10-20 micrometres etc.

Iron Oxides Available in Fe2O3 (Hematite) and Fe3O4 (Magnatite) are fractions 0-5 and 0-10 micrometres and also 5-10 micrometres. Other size distributions may be available upon request.

SOFTC-2A Standardized Oil Filter Test Contaminant is a mixture of Carbon Black, Iron Oxide and PV Resin in Mineral Oil.

Cotton Linters Second Cut Linters produced from raw cotton.

Crushed Quartz Produced from good commercial quality quartz, fractions such as 150-300, 300-420 micrometres etc., and also MIL E-5007C specification are available.

Iron and Aluminium Chips Actual machine filings which are sized using USA test sieves. Primary use of these materials is in aerospace fuel system testing. Two standard grades are available, 0-150 micrometre and 150-500 micrometre. Other sizes available upon request.
